Norwegian Airline Online Check In

Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA offers three options for online check-in:

  1. via SMS ticket (if you have provided your mobile number)
  2. Travel-Assistant App (on your mobile phone)
  3. and via My Bookings

SMS ticket

  1. If you have provided your mobile phone number when booking your flight, the airline will send you an SMS ticket approximately 2 hours before the scheduled departure.
  2. Click on the link in the SMS and then click on “Check in”. Now you will see your digital boarding pass.
  3. Once you have checked in, you can simply scan the barcode on your digital boarding pass at security and boarding.

Travel Assistant app

  1. Download the Travel Assistant app
  2. Click on “Check In” in the app
  3. Now you can check in via your smartphone, where you have to enter all your flight details
  4. Now you will be shown your boarding pass, which you will then need at the airport. At the security check and boarding, you simply scan the barcode of the boarding pass.

My Bookings

  1. Log in to your booked flight via ” My Trips” and check in there.
  2. In doing so, you can follow the exact instructions step by step.
  3. During the security check and boarding, simply scan the digital boarding pass using a tablet or smartphone.

Seat reservations

You can choose a seat when you make your booking if you wish. It is best to do this online as early as possible and at least 1 hour before departure.

Cost of seat reservation

Seat reservation is included with all tickets except LowFare. In this case, all services must be booked additionally. For LowFare+, Flex or Premium tickets, you will be asked to select your seat prior to online check-in.

All flights (excluding long-haul international flights)
LowFare: 9 – 50 EUR per person per leg
LowFare+: Standard seat reservation included
Flex: Seat reservation included

Long-haul international flight
LowFare: 35 – 75 EUR per person per leg
LowFare+: Standard seat reservation included (Economy Class)*
Angle grinder: Seat reservation included (economy class)
Premium and PremiumFlex: Seat reservation included (Economy Class)

*Unfortunately, this seat reservation is not included for long-haul international flights to and from Barcelona, London or Madrid.
